Final results for the Australasian Championship 24 hr and Roving 15 hr events are now available on the Results page. The Interstate and Trans-Tasman Challenge Trophy results can also be found here.

Greig Hamilton has prepared incredible route visualisation information that shows detailed route information including distance, estimated climb, splits and checkpoints visited (map) for every team.

If you carried a GPS during the event and have a route you would be happy to share, we would love to see it. Please upload it to Rogaining Tasmania’s RouteGadget site. Your route will be displayed on the event map.

Late Entries Close Sunday 27th October

Last chance to enter! – Late entries for the Australasian Championships close on Sunday night 27th October. After this we cannot take any more entries or book up extra services such as extra meals or buses. However, even after event entries close you can still purchase ethically made, 83% natural merino, high-performance thermal T-shirts from ioMerino. These quality items can be ordered direct from the ioMerino website

A bulletin will be emailed to all registered team members on Monday 28th October. This will contain detailed information about the rogaine and a copy will be placed on this website at that time.

Less than a week until late entry fees apply

Regular entry fees for the Australasian Championships cease at midnight on Sunday 13th October. After this you can enter or order services (extra meals, bus transport) until the 27th of Oct but the penalty will be a hefty 30% so get your entry in and extras ordered now.

Please do not take a risk and drive when tired. Take advantage of the subsidised bus transport available for booking on the Extra Services page.

If you are in search of a partner please email info@rt.asn.au and we shall see what we can do (no promises). Age, gender, self estimation of fitness and how far do you think you can walk would be useful info.

The organisers are looking forward to seeing everyone in November. The map and course have been finalised and we know you will enjoy your rogaining and travel experience.

Information emailed to entrants as at Oct 1st

Dear Entrant,

Thank you for entering the Australasian Rogaining Championships 2019.  Here are some interim details.  You will receive comprehensive pre-event information, including directions to the Hash House, on about 28 October.

When you entered you received a copy of your entry information via email. Please check these details and correct them if necessary.  In particular, we have noticed possible anomalies in the state and age/gender category for a small number of entries. A current list of entries and assigned categories is available on the ARC2019 website. Instructions on how to review and edit your entry are available on the entry website and were also provided in your entry confirmation email.

One month until late entry fees apply. If you haven’t entered yet, we’d love to hear from you soon!

Remember to order any ‘extras’ at the same time – will you use the bus transport from Hobart or Launceston? Arriving on the Friday night and want dinner and Saturday breakfast? Bringing a supporter? You can buy meals for them too, at very reasonable prices.

…. To get a better feel about the event, I asked coordinator Peter Tuft some more questions to help entice to make the trip across Bass Strait:

Tristan White: Hi Peter, many people will have seen your name around in NSW events, but haven’t met you. So a few questions about you to start. Firstly, what did you do for a profession?

Peter Tuft: I retired a couple of years ago after more than 20 years as an independent engineering consultant in the oil and gas industry, initially in design and more recently focusing on safety issues. Knowing what we know now I’m not thrilled about having worked in a fossil fuel industry, but one’s career path is not entirely under one’s own control and we didn’t really know about climate change all those years ago when I landed in that area by chance.

Website Updated

The Event Info page has been updated to explain what type of vehicles can access the Hash House location and what facilities are available at the Hash House for campers.

In other news, our first few entries have rolled in which is great to see. A List of Entries has been added to the website.

Remember that Tassie is a tourist mecca and that flights, hire cars and accommodation get booked up early.  So, to avoid disappointment, take advantage of early bird entry and make your arrangements soon.
